BoundaryComputing is a company in Leiden, the Netherlands. We take methods from our own research, point them at hard problems, and remove the barriers between a researcher and those methods.
Why we do it
Speed up the discovery of molecules that matter
Medicines, catalysts, materials: computational methods play a growing role in the science behind them. Yet that work is often held back by the technical details of applying, understanding and reproducing those methods, because the workflows behind them are missing. We are building an open workflow layer for molecular science, so a method travels as a workflow that others can apply, reproduce and build on.

The science underneath
FoundationMethods from our own research in multiscale simulation and metal chemistry, built on the open tools of the field, such as GROMACS, AutoDock and xTB.
Where we push it
HarnessHard problems in health, starting with bond-forming and metal-containing inhibitors. We break each design question into physical questions and answer them from first principles. We are preparing a research programme on this with a partner laboratory.
How you reach it
ChannelSalpa takes away the code, the setup and the hardware, and we help you with the rest. The workflows are open: every package on Salpa Hub is free, and a workflow travels as one file.
