How you reach it

Channel

Salpa takes away the code, the setup and the hardware, and we help you with the rest.

Code
Salpa visual workflows. Drag real science tools into a pipeline.
Setup
A pinned environment per node, and workflows that travel as one file.
Hardware
Salpa Compute for heavy steps, with a free tier and no cloud account. Or your own cluster.
Sharing
Salpa Hub: open, FAIR workflow packages, every one free.
Building your own
Salpa CLI: scaffold, check and test a node package from the terminal.
Know-how
Salpa Foundry: free, hands-on help, now.
Salpa CLI

Your node, from the terminal.

Install the CLI with pip, then work through the loop. salpa dev walks you through it in order, if you would rather be led.

salpa push puts the package into the Salpa app on your own machine. Nothing is uploaded. Publishing to the Hub is done by us, after review.

Also

env
the package’s own environment
unpush
takes it back out of the app

$ salpa push # into the app on your machine

What is open, and what is not

What is openOpen

  • The workflows. FAIR, one portable file each, so work can be reproduced and reused.
  • The Hub. Every package is public on GitHub, with its own license: LGPL-2.1, MIT or non-commercial.
  • The node tooling. Salpa CLI, to scaffold, check and test node packages.

What is notThe app

Salpa is a free desktop app for macOS, Linux and Windows. It is free to use, but it is not open source.
